GREEN TIMES
Launched in June 2009, this publication offers regular contributions by experts in every aspect of greener living. The Publishing Editor is Elma Pollard, well-known to residents of Somerset West for her hands-on environmental involvement. She has managed her own recycling depot and trained educators in integrated waste management, assists in the greening of schools, mobilising community projects as well writing popular green columns in local newspapers and magazines.

This is a great green blog with loads of information on green events, news and product directory. You can subscribe to their free electronic newsletter which they send out once every three or four weeks and contains news that has featured on the website as well as a list of upcoming events.

This is a new initiative, developed by Urban Sprout, the City of Cape Town's Environmental Resource Management Dept and A & C Maps. The map provides information on the nature reserves, organic eateries, farmers' markets, recycling drop-offs, green buildings, eco products...and more. You just click on the 'map' menu item to open a large version of the map and use the legend on the right-hand side to filter the various icons.
